How to change the FTP account password

The FTP account password is important because it protects your server from unauthorized access. It ensures that only authorized users can manage or transfer files, helping to keep your data and website secure. A strong password is essential to prevent hacking or misuse.

1.In the CWPanel dashboard, click on File management.

2.In the File Management section click on FTP Accounts.

3. Click on the key icon to change the password of the account.

3. Enter the new password you want to change to.

4. Re-Enter the password to confirm the password you want to use.

5. Click on save to confirm the changes.

6. The password should be changed successfully.

Alternative way to create or change password

1. Click on the key icon to change the password of the account.
2. Click on the key icon to change the password of the account.
3. Click on the key icon to generate a new password and copy the password to refer to when prompted.
4. Click on Save to save the changes.
5. The password should be changed successfully.
